International Justice Mission (IJM) is a nonprofit and leader in combatting online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC). IJM has been working in the Philippines, a global hotspot for OSEC, since 2000. In the last 10 years, we have helped law enforcement rescue more than 850 children and convict over 125 perpetrators.
OSEC is a transnational crime and many of IJM’s cases in the Philippines have involved collaboration with Australian law enforcement to identify, arrest and prosecute Australian online sex offenders who victimise Filipino children.
The Children in the Pictures takes us inside Task Force Argos, a renowned Australian-based police investigative team, as they go undercover to rescue children from online sexual abuse. From infiltrating global criminal networks to hunting down the world’s worst abusers, the Argos team shines a light on the dark reality of online child sexual abuse and the fight we all face in stopping it.
IJM Australia is proud to be a charity partner for this important awareness-raising film. This special screening of The Children in the Pictures includes a 25-minute Q&A with IJM staff. Join us to learn more about our work and the survivor side of OSEC investigations
FanForce acknowledges that we are on traditional lands, and recognises the global indigenous peoples. We honour all traditional custodians, and pay our respects to spiritual Elders both past and present.
